The STORY



Welcome! My name is Aparna Karthik. I am an author, entrepreneur, and former technology leader.


I struggled with anxiety and depression after the loss of my father and my sister's cancer diagnosis. These emotional stressors, combined with the pressure of being an overachiever attempting to take on too many things in everyday life, sent me into a spiral.


It took approximately 2000 hours of self-exploration, learning, and practice to get to the healthy place I am today. It was a painful and solitary fight that I would wish upon no one.


Armed with a love of writing, my own experiences, and a desire to positively influence other people's lives, I became a professional coach and created my self-help journal, Untangle Your Stress.


When I am not writing, I am often found watching my go-to comfort binge show FRIENDS, organizing my home, or playing Mario Kart 8 with my family. I periodically consider going skydiving so I can cross it off my bucket list. But it contradicts two of my life mottos, “Don’t act on impulse; have plans A - Z” and “Don’t trust strangers”; so time will tell.
